Rainbows of Happiness

Splashes of colour arched over the trees,
Opalescent jewels flow in perfect harmony,
Bubbles of colours floated to earth,
Swirling and dancing with a soft plop they burst.

Miracles happen, for on that day,
Fragments of rainbows slipped away,
One was seen in a baby’s smile,
Another touched the brow of a lonely child.

Wafting through the window of a sick old man,
Magic landed on his withered hand,
Blown over rooftops on a gentle breeze,
Prisms of light filtered into dreams.

Where sadness reigned in the little room,
Out came the sun and banished gloom,
Look for rainbows on life’s cloudy day,
They’ll lift your spirits and bring happiness your way.
